A manuscript was discovered here in 1886. It contains his accounts and activities between 1549 and 1552.
a writer and diplomat, who in 1712 wrote a book entitled ' Project for perpetual peace in Europe ‘ . The 16th-century manor house, on the remains of which the charterhouse is built, must have been the birthplace of the Abbé de Saint Pierre, and must have welcomed him on numerous occasions.
